The work presents nine scientific papers that deal with the political, social and religious reality on the Croatian part of the Adriatic coast from the 16th to the 18th century. The papers are written on the basis of original source material collected in state and private archives, while collecting and building on previous knowledge on the aforementioned topics.
The collection represents the crown of the research of the same name conducted with the support of the Oxford University project within the framework of the ‘New Horizons for Science and Religion in Central and Eastern Europe’ program funded by the John Templeton Foundation.
It is published bilingually, in Croatian and English.
